Haiku: Netherlands – India

As ‘zomer’ begins to make way for ‘na zomer’, some reflections and looking back through haiku:

Cafe tables – MOVE!

Welcome to our  special guest

The sun on our street

Memories of spring

Jets leave white arcs in blue sky

Watched by daffodils

Faces in the train

Silent – like the winter grey

Lit in flash of sun

My friend Fareeda sent me these that she wrote from India:

In my right nostril

Fly meditates

While I try

too

Crows shitting

on black tar road

do painter Pollock proud

Quantum squirrel

appears – disappears

from

my sidelong gaze
